Default Might be a dumb question but im kinda new to 4x4's

Ok so heres my dumb question, hopefully somone can help me out. I have an 06 STX 4x4, when im in 2wd, and driving down the road, do the front cv axles stay still or do they turn with the tire. I know on older trucks they stay still but those were with manual hubs ect. Not sure about the new ones. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I dont know the answer to this however I would think they stay still... we have vacuum assist hubs at the wheels which would be inactive in 2wd mode. I would think this means the half shafts are still however you can easily verify by putting a video camera on the ground and driving slowly over top of it and then watching the video.

Does anyone else actually know the answer off-hand on this?

the cv's do actually stay in place and so does the drive shaft. its probably the best design out there right now.
