Default MFING instrument cluster bulbs

Does anyone on this planet know what number the damn bulb is that goes in the back of a instrument cluster. There is 12 or 13 of them. I've been told by probably about 20 people that they are number 194. They are most certainly not. The right lightbulbs are half the size of a 194. See the size comparison below

It also has these even smaller bulbs in there as well.

Are there gray and black bulb housings? I believe the gray housing bulbs are #37. Not sure what number the black housings are.

Since you are in the 04-08 forum - I assume and hope most of these model years are alike - don't have this truck but thought I'd just see what I could find from the old web. From clicking several different links and assuming a 2005 Lariat - I find this reference on a different forum - it takes off talking about LED's, but then someone gives some input about what they believe the bulbs are as well - This post agrees with DrGriffin and it references both the grey and black housings. Look through this thread and the post from "Cougar" for reference - http://community.cartalk.com/discuss...lb-help-please

yes I have both gray and black housings but it would appear the base of the bulb is the same size or close enough. I'm sure the two different lightbulbs types have their designated purposes but at this point I just don't care. Just light up my gauges and I'll be happy.
