I have a one inch daystar. the spacer actually measured at 7/8 of an inch. Rcx doesnt actually drop everything 6 inches. the crossmember drop on the rcx lift is 5 3/16". the rcx spacer is 5 15/16" that gives you a 3/4" difference. a 3/4" spacer gives you an inch of lift. well a 1.5" gives you 2" of lift, 1 5/8 gives you 2 1/2" of lift and 1 3/4 gives you 3" of lift. so the 3/4" difference in the rcx lift and the 7/8" daystar gives you the specs of a 2 1/2" leveling kit. that adds 1.5" onto the 6" rcx. Total of 7.5" lift.

So I just recently picked up a 05 4.6 and I leveled it and put 35s on it and it's a bear. I knew the 4.6 was going to be more sluggish than the 5.4, but this thing is stupid slow, no pick up at all. I've had a 5.4 before, and I regeared it when I had 37s and lf course noticed a huge difference, but I'm wondering if a regear on the 4.6 would even be worth the effort, or is that just the nature of how heavy these trucks are and how under powered these engines are.

Sorry to ask the question here but this is the first post I've found focusing solely on 4.6s, lol.

The 4.6 is a fairly guttless engine... But it does its job without too much trouble
