Depending on the miles and condition, that would seem like a fair value, at least in my part of the country.

Trim and Region really play a big role in pricing these trucks it seems.

I'm willing to bet the 2005 F-150 you're mentioning is either a good condition Lariat or King Ranch.

I agree on trim. My King Ranch booked at 18k when I bought it for 14k about 6 months ago. My buddy who is the finance manager for a large dealership in KC couldn't believe he was getting a book value around 18k. He told me he thought something was wrong with his computer LOL!

food for thought....my 07 with 180k...dealer offered me 11k for it. I could sell for 14k, private party.
4x4 Lariat, 5.4, Screw. Pretty good condition

My local banker just valued my 06 Harley Davidson at almost 15k. It has 150,000 miles

Post lacks context. Options? Condition? Simply using online tools such as Edmunds, NADA, Cars.com you can find the answer quite easily.

I've usually thought around this time, about 10 years old for these trucks, the value starts to be based on condition. Especially in climates where rust is an issue. That's why I bought mine with 101K R title, 2006 STX Supercab Flareside for 8K, about a year ago. Where I live 10 year old trucks usually need or had rockers already, luckily my truck is pretty solid, I cleaned everything up and undercoated.

I paid $9,000 for my 2004 STX a year ago with 79,000 miles. Trucks around here are high mileage and high dollar. I was lucky to get it at that price.
