Are the pipes actually a true 3" or just the tips?

I'm just really worried about buying the aluminized kit. But i really want to save a little money. Illinois just has rough winters.

why? aluminum doesnt rust!

Its aluminized steel. Basically slightly better than galvanized steel. They both still rust overtime. 403 stainless is high iron content stainless which also rusts over time too. Oem systems are normally 403.

304 stainless is the low carbon content stainless (i think thats it) it never rusts unless exposed to salt water constantly.

Well stainless is about 100 bucks more. So i dont know what to do at this point.

Peice of minds worth 100$ if you want to go SS. But high heat paint also protects aluminized and its easy to paint before its installed!

ten years from now, is the exhaust going to matter? do you plan on keeping the vehicle for ten years?
