is this worth the money? does this require anything special besides replacing my old one?

for 10 to 15 hp i like the price of the underdrive pulley system. BUT if money isnt an issue both would be nice if both would give you 25 to 30 hp increase..

You will also want a larger throttle body because you would just be moving the point of restriction with only a intake and a lager MAF.

You can get an air mass meter here cheaper and its a known good quality. http://jawsracing.net/ I will verify that this is a good company and the products are high quality.

can someone explain to me about the throttle body. I knwo it gets rid of the lag when you press the gas pedal. But what is it used for. Does it increase HP or mileage per gallon??

The throttle body contains a butterfly that opens and allows air into the engine. How far it opens depends on how far you press the loud pedal. A larger throttle Body allows more air in at wide open throttle. Your truck has an electric throttle body. In other words its drive by wire. The "pedal feel" that you have on the gas pedal is nothing more than a spring. There is a potentiometer on the gas pedal that sends a signal to the computer to tell it how far to open the throttle body.
