Default Mass Air Flow Cleaner

I have always just replased my Mass Air Flow when it would not read right to the computer, thease days money is tight. I have heard to clean them with MAF cleaner. Does this realy work?

I have always had success with this. May be overkill but I clean mine about every six months.

For the F150's, we've used MAF cleaner since 97 when the first came with them. Unless the MAF wire is damaged or a connection is loose, cleaning it works just fine. CRC makes a good MAF cleaner. I've seen many MAF related codes cured by a simple MAF cleaning.
