I'm not saying your wrong but I'm pretty sure the law is that is illegal to add aftermarket hids to any vehicle that didn't not come with them from the factory. Oh and hids came from the factory in a reflector housing on my lexus so projectors aren't the only thing hids were meant for btw.

I don't get why you would be throwing HIDs in a reflector housing though? It scatters the light everywhere and sucks if you are driving towards it. I mean it's great if you are the one with the HIDs, but other than that it blows.

Some older Lexus and Acura vehicles came with reflector HID from the factory. These reflector buckets are designed/curved to properly and safely project light from the orb of an HID capsule while the reflectors from the F150 are designed for the thin halogen filament. Fitting the halogen reflector with the HID orb creates refraction of light (glare). The F150 is especially bad since aftermarket HID bulbs do not hit the focal point of the reflector which creates a ton of glare.

I've been having a problem with mine. It just started tonight. When I have my truck off the hid flash like a police car when my keys are out! Any ideas what wrong? I also have the harness
