I'm looking at replacing my factory muffler with a Magnaflow next payday and I'm looking for some opinions. I don't want anythinf crazy loud which is why I decided on the Magnaflow, and the 2.5 pipe should be fine for what I want so I plan on just doing the muffler. Now I have to decide if I'm going to get the 14" or the 18" and whether or not I should dump it at the muffler. What do you guys think? I'm thinking the 14" with a dump may be too loud... I'm also worried I might lose some low end with the dump and since I don't have plans for gears anytime soon, that would be a no-go. Any suggestions would be great. Also, I spent about an hour searching through the exhaust threads and came up with nothing of any use. Thanks.

I wouldn't worry about it being too loud. I'm running a Magnaflow DI/DO catback setup with exit right in front of the rear tire and it's relatively quiet.. almost too quiet.
