I have the foulers but the 02 sensor is to big to fit into it once I drill it out.

Hi.

Well, let's start with why you are doing this. Are yer factory cats plugged?

Because, if yer doing this just fer 'performance', I'm here to tell yall that yer chambered Fartmaster buttplug of a muffler is more of a restriction than yer factory cats - or even factory manifolds - will ever be.

So yeah... avoid all of the hassle and expense, just stay stock. Yer not gaining anything other than the E/T improvement resulting from a lighter wallet

good luck

You mean the threads won't even catch?? Because the non fouler is too short?

Yeah, I think they are to short. I ordered some longer ones from EBay, I will see if they fit.

I got the longest ones autozone had.. I borrowed a new ford 02 sensor from the counter and test fit it before I bought..

I am having the same problem right now. I am trying to find a catalytic converter for my 05 f150.(late model of production only has two cats with 02 seated in middle) Magnaflow recommends the 99006hm but they dont have 02 sensors. I saw the 99356hm with the 02 sensor in the right place but they are shorter. Did you end up buying the 99356hm?

Are you going to have a shop weld in the cats for you?
If so, just have them weld an 02 bung behind your chosen replacement cat.. The 94106 is a good cheap cat and will work fine for you. There is a longer hi flow cat then the 94106 but I can't remember the part#.
Try to do both cats at once for more balanced flow...

I Tried to talk to the exhaust shop about just making a new 02 bung after the cat. He said he couldn't do that because it would change the 02 reading and throw a code. Then i asked him well well i see you have some catalytic converters that have the bung in the back, can you unstall that and he said he wouldnt because it would change the 02 reading and throw a could.

Will it throw a code if one 02 sensor is past the cat and the other 02 sensor on the driver side is in the middle of the cat?

After calling 3 different exhaust shops I finally found someone that would move the bung for me. The guy even says he has a cat that doesn't have a bung and will make one in the cat for me so I dont have to extend the 02 sensor.

Would it be okay for him to make a bung in the cat or should i just put it after the cat? Being the bank 2 sensor i figured it wouldn't matter were it is r/t to the middle of the cat to behind it.

There's no reason why an after cat 02 won't work.....at all..

I'm surprised that your getting the run around from these guys. I wouldn't bother having that guy installing the bung in the cat either.
Just have him cut the pipe forward enough to put your new (likely shorter) cat closer to the manifold... Then weld the bung behind the cat. Hopefully it will be close enough to allow your wire to reach it.
This is not a complicated job at all.. As long as that rear 02 gets a different reading then the front 02 then you will be all set.. That why it's there, just to measure a change.
