Magnaflow + Airaid...retune?

You can run the 3" Air Force 1 without retuning. If for some reason you're worried about a CAI voiding your warranty (which it shouldn't) then you can remove the AF1 and put your stock intake back on. I have an AF1 (3" tube) on my truck and also have it custom tuned. I usually will retune my truck to stock for trips to the dealership, but have never changed my intake back to the stock intake and have never had the dealership tell me my warranty was voided. You can run the 3" AF1 with or without a tune.

I think he may be saying this because of who provides the custom tuning for each. For me I have an Xcal II (which is an SCT tuner) and it's tuned by Troyer Performance who is widely regarded as the best F150 custom tuner out there. Based on that assumption I would have to agree that an SCT tuner is better than the Diablo and really isn't that much more cost wise.

Yeah...I had price shopped a bit and happened to run across a diablo. It does make sense about what you are saying about Troyer, from everything I've researched and read. I'll probably go that route...that is.....after an intake and saving up from the Christmas draining of the funds....

Update : So I installed the airaid intake as per the provided instructions. It seems to work great 90% of the time but once in a while when I'm at speed, and go from no gas to getting on it a little, it seems to lag for a second or two, and i hear a low pitched honking or vibrating noise...any ideas?
