Default MAF problem

I just replaced my stock air filter with a K&N system. Now my truck starts up and shuts right back off. If i remove the MAF it stays started. My truck is a 2007 f-150. It only has 1000 miles on it. Anyway to clean it before i am stuck buying a new MAF?

Good old fashioned carburetor cleaner will do the trick as well.

Do NOT use carb cleaner on the MAF sensor. It can damage the sensor as well as the plastic. Use an intake cleaner that is safe for EFI and oxygen sensors. If it only had 1K miles on it, I doubt that it needs to be cleaned. Check the wire connection at the base of the MAF sensor. Did the system work fine before you changed the air filter? Did you touch the end of the MAF sensor at all?

Why do you think that you need a new MAF sensor?
