Default Made my own Edge Evolution overhead mount

Tired of that ugly dash pod that you cant match the paint on? Here is a simple solution if you don't mind your Edge being up high. I happened to have a metal stamped wrench from an old table saw I have since sold. It worked perfect. You will just have to experiment with your bends and how low you want it to sit from the headliner. It was secured with the screw from the sun visor, no modification needed to mount, which is what I loved. I used sticky velcro available at Walmart to secure the Edge to the mount. Any questions just ask, but I did this in about 2 hours (took some time to get the bends just right) and had to loosen the A-pillar to run the cable. On to the pictures.

Here you can see the approximate angles of the bends:

I for some reason, only could find half my velcro piece, so I hot glued some velcro "fabric" onto the mount, holds great:

Sunvisor removed, and then with the mount in place:

All secured, the cable still had plenty of length:

Good job, I just got my mounted using the pod with double side tape, this looks even better, I may try it. Thanks for the pics.

You are welcome. My pod was fading into a yellowish color and I never liked it anyway.

I really like my edge being on the dash in a pod but i must say this looks pretty damn good. I may have to try something like this. Nice job!
