Low/rough idle has beaten me

I have been having the same issues as well, I ended up taking it to a shop that had a Ford Master Technician and was told the following:
1 - They recommend I trade the truck in as soon as possible.
2 - Or I can fork out $6,800.00 to replace the engine.
I was told those two things in that order. I too am getting tired of throwing parts at the truck and footing the bill. Haha

Wow, Trade it in so they can sell it to some poor sap and then act surprised when it shows back up or they'll send it to auction for a different kind of sap. Why did they say all this to you? $6,800 seems kind of high. My mechanic who has 40 plus yrs and is one of the best is sending me to a Ford mech that works on the side and supposedly knows these trucks. Im tired of coming up with a non diagnosis and paying for it. I don't know whats worse ha ha
If I am mistaken, $6,800 is for the engine and labor.
I feel the same way. I am paying for them to diagnose, but coming back with no answers and STILL paying for it!! Haha
