Oh coool. I mean, it happened twice so far. I alwayd took the key out, just cause. But the techs tried to blame my ignition problem from my alarm... And that it was hooked up wrong. BS!!!! but now no alarm, and low oil pressure gauge went funky on me.

Hopefully someone can chime in with a solution or tell us whats wrong.

just bought it? any kind of warranty with it? dealership usually have a period of 10 days to 2 weeks where if anything is/goes wrong they will fix it for free. thats how i got my cam phasers done

if you bring it multiple times and still doesnt fix it look at http://www.lemonlawamerica.com/

stupid question, have you checked the oil to make sure its at proper levels? or are you going off the gauge?

The only difference is when it happens I don't have to turn my key off or even take it out. I just try to turn it over again and it starts. I have the Lariat with the little Message Center in the Instrument Panel and it just says Low Oil Pressure when this happens. Also, when I check my edge, there are no DTC's???

I was gonna start a thread on it asking about it myself in just the next 5 minutes and low and behold I found yours!
My 06 5.4 Lariat with 97k does it every now and then. i just wait a few seconds and start it again. Doesn't bother me much, hardly ever happens. But yes i have the little message screen and it says "low oil Pressure" when it does happen

just do a search and you will find tonssssss of threads about it. if you just bought it more than likely it was done if the prior owner took care of it.

I dont know if he took care of it. The truck only has 39k miles. I saw its in the engone thats a pretty penny to get fixed? Ive got a warranty anyways, but i have a 30day period where anything is free that i find defective.

Make sure your truck is completely in park. Even if it means rocking the truck a little.....Try this before you pull the key out or even turn the ignition back to off.... A friend of mine had the same issue with his Lariat and it turned out to be park not completely seating....
