Default Low oil pressure and engine shut down

Today while driving the truck just shut off while at a light and it said low oil pressure on the dash read out. It started back up and did it again at another light. Its a 2004 5.4 with 50,000 miles . any ideas? The check engine light is now on too. HELP!

the PCM does not read oil pressure, the gauge on the dash is just an idiot sensor. Most likely, the sender needs to be replaced, which is somewhat odd for the low amount of miles the truck has. Start with the simple stuff, get the code read, and replace the sensor. Also, throw the post up on flatratetech.com and see what they say before taking it to the dealership if you so desire. Does the motor make any noise that it shouldnt be making when you started it back up?

Your problem is probably related to the Check Engine. It would be completely normal for the Low Oil Pressure light to be on after the engine dies.

Get the ECU scanned and go from there.

My raptor has 4000 miles on it and it shut down while I was drivkng 30mph and the low oil pressure light came on. Coasted to a parking lot and tried starting it up again and it did and it ran fine. Oil was dead on and I pulled out my code reader and no codes or history codes. Weird.. Tarted driving and I noticed there was no sound to my radio or nav. Parked the truck for 1 hour and the radio worked. Anyone have this problem??

I just bought my 2018 F 150 , it has a dealer installed lift , flares ,black fuel wheels , black step bars looks good , They told me about the start and stop thing and said they shut it down some how , I did not know it was on . I almost got rear ended at a bad place because of this shut down , also next day I was at a burger joint looking both ways she said you can go same type thing almost happened . I just hit the button now . I do not drive the truck every day and did not know what was up with . Now I just hit the button .

Default An 04 with only 50k ,how do you do that

Its not your oil shutting you down . No such circuit .
What are you talking about They told You ---
"about the start and stop thing and said they shut it down some how , I did not know it was on "
Are you talking about some remote shutdown for failure to make payments or something .
You need codes or further explain .
