low idle after replacing idler pulley?
I had a bad whining noise in engine compartment. I found out it was a bad bearing in my grooved idler pulley so i replaced that and the whine went away. while i was at it i changed tensioner and serpantine belt. now my truck has a low idle when stopped and when driving it has a humming sound. anyone know whats going on?

yea, belt was the right size and fit perfect. the humming sound is a lot like the sound of a bad wheel bearing. im wondering if the new pulley i put in is just junk it is a plastic duralast pulley.

you may be right on the air box housing. i did remove it to get to my belt and pulleys. my truck did have a code that said something about that. i'll have to check that. thanks! still not sure what the humming sound is...
