loud rough running low power 5.4

Very common problem around that mileage would be a bad coil pack. Also sometimes when the plugs are changed, the boots from the coil to the plug get damaged, and not easy to see. Either of those will make it run like sh.

Start cheap - Seafoam it (1/2 can up the brake booster line, half in the tank). Do the diamondbird throttle position reset(free!). Check the foam seal around your air filter tray(could be the noise).
Check your FPDM - cause of all sorts of problems - seems to be different symptoms for everyone.
Have your cats checked - also could contribute to power loss and noise.

I did the sea foam trick a while ago did help a little and I made sure I got a good seal around the air filter I will have to give a those other suggestions a try tho and no the cats haven't been looked at. I meant to say it is not throwing and code that I know of( no CEL) and it seems to have a more rough idle when it is on a slight uphill slope

If you have a misfire, you should have a check engine light. BUT if it is not a constant misfire, you can have a PENDING code stored on the computer WITHOUT a check engine light. Go to Autozone or someplace that will run a diagnostics check for free and see what you find.
