Default Loud popping noise while turning..

I have a 08 with a 6 inch lift and I hear a loud popping noise when I turn sharp and it throws my alignment off sometimes, anyone know what causes this?

Can you give some more info?? Tire size, mileage, etc? That would help us find you a solution to your problem. The first place I would start looking is in the front end. Step #1 being the ball joints. You can search and find an easy way to check and see if they are worn.

Larger tires will make the front end wear faster. Hope this helps

Thanks! Other info: I just turned 78k miles today, tire size is 325/65r18 (35x13.5) and I had the ball joints replaced about 30-35k miles ago.

Your 6 inch lift is doing this! Sounds like one of the many problems that occur along with the perverbial "death wobble" with lifts over 3 inches.

I'd get it to a good suspension shop and have it all checked out.

Ok I'll do that. So are you saying that I might have to get rid of my lift in order for these things to stop?

i have a 6" lift. no wobble or vibrations.

death wobble is caused by worn out steering or suspension components, not a lift kit.

a loud popping noise in 4x4 can be your CV shafts, front drive shaft, transfer case, diff, loose parts on the lift...

in 2wd since nothing in the front end turns (4wd system) it can be loose/worn out parts..

death wobble happens on stock dodges all the time, it is exactly as stated above, its worn out suspension and steering parts, usually a dual steering dampner will elimate death wobble
