My mother-in-law has a [Ford] Aerostar and with a similar brake symtom. Dealer wanted to replace the anti-lock module for $1300.00+... I replaced the pressure sensor on the bottom of the fluid reservoir ($18.00) and the problem was solved. It might be that easy...

Definetly get a new mechanic. Some mechanics are super, most are good, some are down right crooks. There are some places I wouldn't trust with my lawn mower. They make sure when you leave that you'll be back with a new problem. However, it can be hard to tell if a tech just had a bad day or is taking you for a ride. That's where a second opinion is valuable

Thank for opinion. I'm not a mechanic so not to sure about mechanical fixing. After I was told spun beating I stop driving. The noise was loud. Like a wrench got stuck somewhere in the engine and was thrown around at start up. Weak rpms. I went to different mechanic to install the new one. The guy who did top end is on my **** list

Hey guys I'm lost. I think I might just cut losses. This is my nightmare from hell. I bought my truck about 2 years ago. 2006 ford f150 lariat. I did a bunch of upgrades yo it. I had the a small tick noise. Decided to get it done last year. Did top end of engine. (Timing and stuff). No cutting corners. I dropped of at mechanics. It took about 4-6 month why I don't know. Still had tick slight after all this. Misfired second time driving it. I was told I spun a bearing. I was going on vacation. So I let truck sit. Decided to replace engine with factory ford. When I get it back abs light is on. Code c1300. Took it to dealer and they want 1200 for part and not sure labor. Said it was hydraulic pump and abs module. I'm tired of lying money in. What should I do?
I was wondering if you ever figured out what was causing the c1300 code. I'm having the same problem. Thanks.
