Default Loose wire or bad light bulb?

The light for the temperature/mileage display keeps going off and on. If I tap the dash board it comes back on but it continuously takes more hitting to come back on. Has anyone ran into this? I wanted to ask before I start taking the display apart. Hopefully you all can see what I'm talking about from the two pictures.

Sounds like the bulb. Same thing mine did.

There's been quite a few threads about this. As long as your LCD display still works and it's just the back light, very simple fix. It's a $2 bulb, and about an hour of your time.

That thread goes into taking apart the gauge cluster, which you don't need to do. But it does go into how to remove the dash. chances are, it's just the bulb behind the display.
