Default Looking to supercharge 5.4l

I have been looking at the procharger system for $4700.00 dollars which they claim it will produce 495 HP on a stock motor. They say it bolts on in 8 - 10 hrs and was wondering if anyone has this system and if it will be ok on my 2005 Lariat 4x2 with stock tranny and rearend?

you might want to beef up your tranny a little bit to handle the added hp

Not a bad system. You won't have the bottom end torque like you would with a Saleen or a Whipple. I vote twin screw. Start a tranny fund. The rear should hold up fine. You may need an upgraded driveshaft. The stock ones aren't reliable past 400 or so ft/lbs of torque. Kind of curious about the Procharger system. They don't brag on torque at all and the only figures for an F-150 I saw was a poor 410lb/ft. Most systems produce at least 450lb/ft with 8lbs of boost.

I am extremely interested in a SC unit also but I am waiting for my factory warranty to expire in 1 years time. Keep us informed of your decision.
