I am looking for the wire coming out of the fuse box that goes to the parking lights. I know it is white with a green line (or other way around). This is my buddies F150 and he wants to install some foot well lights and we are mainly looking for a wire to tap off of. Anyone done anything like this? What did you do?

Did you check behind the light switch ??

If you know what color it is whats the problem? find the wire bundle cut it open and look for the wire. If there is multiple ones the same and sometimes there are. Use a test light to probe the wire and turn the switch and see if the light comes on if not move to the next one and so on untill you find it. Or like someone said you can pull the switch panel and tap into it right behind.

I personally would run my own 12v source to the lights and put them on their own switch so I can turn them on and off whenever I wanted to. If your looking for a 12v any big fat red one will do running under the dash should be 12v.Once again test light is your friend.

Don't know where you came up with "white/green or green/white" for parking lamps....

The Ford Schematic manual indicates that it is a brown wire (parking/License lamps), off of the main light switch, when in the "park (parking lights) position" (off/park/headlight/auto (if auto headlights is equipped).

The "hot lead" that feeds the light switch (from fuse 6) is a Tan/White wire.
