Default Looking into a leveling kit...

Hey guys,

I'm wanting to level out my truck, and from what I've read, doing that involves a 2" lift up front, right?

I've got stock 17" rims and 255/65 R17 tires on my rig right now - how does the gap in the wheel well look with the stock tires sizes?

Also, I've seen a couple of different leveling kit manufacturers mentioned - any recommendations?

I am also about to order mine. Alot of recomendations are for Autospring or Daystar. My 2WD will need the 2.5" to level it out. I will eventually upgrade to 325/60/18 (33") tires. I am still kicking around the idea of a 2.5" Rancho lift that has a lift kit for the front and lifting blocks for the rear and then deal with the front end squat that it will still inevitably have with the level kit. This lift is only about $450 from 4wheelparts.com .

Another vote for AUTOSPRING. They're made with a slight offset to ensure the spring doesn't contact the control arm at full extension. Easy to install, great instructions, all steel construction.

I used the Autospring kit from EBay. As far as the size of lift, I read the 2.5" lift is level, the 2" lift will leave the bed slightly higher for hauling, and the 3" lift will be level if you add a brush guard.

I had the autospring 2.5" kit on my truck prior to lifting. Left the front end sitting slightly higher than the rear, but you could only tell if you measured it.

I just installed a 2" autospring leveling kit. The truck is leveled perfectly. Ive got 285/70/17's and plenty of room for more rubber. The front wheel gap is the same as the rear wheel gap.

How many inches do those tires measure?

Im sorry but is it 2wd or 4wd. I have 2wd with 285/55/20 wheels no rub and measure 6.5" in the back and 4" in the front and thought it would be best to use the 2" spacer so that with a load in the back the front wont be higher.
