Looking for a hitch with the receiver below the crossbar, anyone know of one?

Cool! Yeah, if you could get a brand and part number for me, I would really appreciate it, because I like the look of yours and definitely want to see what it would cost. I'm gonna call the dealer tomorrow and see how much it would cost to get just the receiver, and then hopefully I can compare it to the hitch you have, NGM, and go from there With the truck already having a 4-pin wiring harness, and considering its low towing capactiy, I shouldn't ever have the need for another wiring harness.

A lot of times you can go to your local trailer/camper dealership to see if they have what you need.

Thank you for all the information and input guys, it's greatly appreciated! I called Ford, and found out that it would cost $295+tax for just the hitch, and that was just too steep for me.

So, with some more searching, I found this hitch on etrailer.com:

More info here: http://www.etrailer.com/pc-H~V82842....cleid=20086408

According to etrailer's website (they say it's the actual product and show it mounted on a F150), and as far as my searches have found, it's the exact type of hitch that I'm looking for. So, I went ahead and ordered it, and a ballmount bag (to get above $150 and get free shipping ). Looks like a good hitch, all of the reviews I've found have been good; hopefully it is really what is shown. We'll see in a few days, once I get it.

Sorry for not getting back sooner, on my 02 which is like picture on page 1, it wraps around behind the tire. At first glance I assumed to install the type you asked for the tire was in the way. Glad I'm wrong and hope my observation on page 2 picture is wrong also. My hitch bolts up vertically, page 2 shows bolts going horizontally. Are there even retaining nuts in that location?

No problem. I'm supposed to get the hitch tomorrow, so we'll see how it mounts then.
