Default Looking for diamond plate tailgate cover

Hey everyone, I'm looking for a diamond plate tailgate protector, ever since I got my snowmobile, every time I load it the track rips off the plastic cover on the top of the tailgate. I've looked around but can't find any for 2004-2008 F-150's. Anyone know where I can find one?

I went to the DeeZee website and they make the tailgate protector for F-150's before 1996, completely skip 1997-2008, then they make them for 2009 and up....why why why....

I used to rip mine off with my sled too haha. I put a lot of structural silicone we use at work and now it doesn't come off. Sure, it will be very difficult to get it off if needed, but I'll cross that bridge later.

That's a good idea, maybe i'll have to go that route...if I can get something strong enough at the consumer level

I've searched just about every website I could find but no one makes a black one, and all the reviews on the aluminum chrome finish say the product was flimsy, too light, etc.

I remember it being quite a search to find one, so after posting yesterday I looked again and came up with zero. I tried DeeZee, Autoanything, Realtruck, BetterBuilt and Putco. I guess with all the trucks having plastic factory caps now the aftermarket aluminum pieces are not popular anymore because nobody has them.

I just went back and looked at Putco. They have a polished stainless cap (smooth, no tread) that replaces the original. Part # 52619P.
