Anybody running a small roof antenna? Kinda want radio again when I do this. Also as for the touchscreen it's not like inside your cab is double digits below zero. Heater! Are there any other in dashes around the same budget as the pioneer 4200 tht are significantly better? I don't really need blue tooth or nav but it could be fun.

For the price I haven't found one but the 4200 doesn't come with bluetooth or nav......You can add it on by buying their modules if you want which explains the price break compared to other units.

I have one of the Pioneer Navigation units....AVICxxxxBT (can't remember the numbers and truck is 6000+ miles away). It is a decent unit, nice options, geat BT interface and sound, and great GPS. I do have ssues with the screen during cold weather (if truck sits out all night in 32 degree weather). basically when I start it up, the screen is blank and will stay that way until it warms up and I push the reset button.

Default In dash unit

That looks really sweet, fills in really well. Can anyone tell me the different brands and their app. cost, and which unit is the best and why they think it is. Thanks, I know that is a lot to ask and is subjective but me please. lol

I live in Wyoming leave my truck outside in -20 weather let it warm for about 5 minutes and drive so it's probably 0 inside and haven't had no issues with the touch screen works the same as the summer. Whatever unit you pick should connect directly into your existing antenna if they send the adapter. I have a mix of what I thought was the best rated and most power of stereo brands throughout my truck. For a head unit I feel the pioneer gives you the most performance for the money.

I have the Kenwood DDX-512. I had it in my Duramax for about a year and a half and have had it in this truck for almost a year. I haven't had a single problem with it, and I paid 500 out the door from cartoys. It doesn't come with bluetooth or Nav, but can be added on later if you ever end up wanting it. I'll get some pics of it in the Ford but for now here's what it looked like in the Dmax.
