Hey all, i've been looking to get into another ford, and found a great looking 05. My concern is that they haven't had the oil changed in over a year and a half.. 83k miles, 5.4 fx4. I'm literally not at all mechanically savy and i really want to be, so this may be a stupid question for the majority , but i want to make sure i'm getting a good buy but preparing for anything that comes with it.

Clean title, and $16,000 is the asking, kbb good condition in my area is about 15500. I still probably wont pay more than 14500. I guess i wasn't too clear in my question , i apologize- i'm mainly trying to take all/any precautions. Asking for suggestions or if it's something I should avoid.

I don't know if I'd go higher than $12,000 even. I have an 05 Lariat and I should not have paid as much as I did.

I purchased mine from a dodge dealer in New Jersey. 05 FX4 Loaded with 95k miles in great condition. They were asking 13k I offered them 10k and they took it.
