No mechanical issues on my '06 with just about 58k.

If these trucks were so bad they wouldnt be the best selling vehicles in the world.

If you read the many posts here (and on other forums), you should already be aware of the minor quirks; injectors have been reported as noisy by some, the two piece spark plugs used in the early 5.4's can be costly to replace (assuming one or more break off), power window regulators can break (plastic pieces).

Overall, it has a big thumbs up. I don't have these issues in my truck, and the spark plug issue goes away once they have been replaced with the one piece design. The later year 5.4's don't have this issue, nor does the 4.2 V6 or 4.6 V8, but you give up power and towing capacity.

Decide what your truck is going to be used for daily, and go from there. I will still recommend a 2004 to 2008 Ford F150; just be sure to examine the searvice records or have it checked out by a qualified mechanic (if you don't know what to look for)before you buy.

There are issues for Ford Trucks, I guess there're not the only one. Nobody's perfect...hehe
It's my first F-150 and not the last one, even if it got little issues !
