I must say I do not get any clunking with my Bilsteins.. It rides so much better than stock. Spacers if u ask me make far more noise then the Bilsteins by far. My friends have them and the clunks are horrible, which is the reason i went with the bilsteins. You might want to check your bolts to see if they are tight. I did the install myself and I have no problems at all. My truck sounds solid as can be going over bumps and hills. Hope u can get this figured out.

And as far as the truck being level with the bilsteins.. It doesn't get any better than this. IMO.

Yeah your truck is dead nuts level! It looks perfect... Can you run a spacer with the bilsteins? Has anyone tried?

Jono, i went back to the shop today and told them whats going on. They sent the tech who did the work out to my truck to look at everything. Turns out the sway bar was pretty loose and when he eventually got everyhting tight again the clunking went away. So now, the Bilsteins feel great... but there's still the issue that im rubbing the sway bar at full lock. This is annoying to me and i cant stand not being able to turn to full lock so i've got to find the solution to this ASAP.

Especial, from my understanding there is no issue running a spacer with the bilsteins as long as they are set to stock height. You absolutely would not run them higher than stock with a spacer though or you'll rip apart your front end, assuming the spacer and bilsteins are even pyhsically possible to run together in that manner. Get a 4" susp lift if your really considering running a spacer and bilsteins for max lift.

From my vantage point here, either the guys with bilsteins and 305/65/18 BFG A/T's are kidding themselves and they are actually contacting the sway bar at FULL lock or there is obviously some issue as to why im not clearing these tires anymore. At this point my only option seems to be to drop the bilsteins back to stock height and run the spacer while i save up for new wheels. Sweet, even more labor $$$! And damn, the point behind this was to get rid of the spacer so im pretty frustrated at this point. But thanks for the helpful input guys! if only someone could chime in and say they had this same problem with the bilsteins and tires and figured out how to fix it...

Good idea and thanks, but not even considering it. Heard bad things, personally feel they arent very safe and just like to do things right the first time, which is why this is so #$%^&* frustrating!

Get new wheels with a different back spacing? Might be able to trade for them.

Ya Dereku thats what i will prob end up doing eventually when i can afford them but thats not anytime soon. trade might work tho in the meantime, thats a good idea, or at least sell mine which are in good condition and make up the difference. But of course then there's still the issue as to WHY im rubbing with this setup and others arent. that alone, regardless of tire clearance, is a bit unnerving to me

more than likely dropped from a 3" lvl to 2.5ish with the billy's, thus causing your rubbing. People not rubbing more than likely have diff backspacing on their wheels

Thats what i was thinking too. Guy before me put on a 3" level and sold the truck before the front end fell apart (Ball joints in this case). But im pretty darn sure it was a 2.5" level, maybe not but that doesnt really matter because guys seem to be running the same setup with bilsteins and stock wheels
