Default Looking at a 2005 STX

I am thinking about joining the family. I have always been a suv guy but am needing the extra utility of a pick up.

I found one I like with everything I think I need.

2005, stx, red, supercab, 59000 miles, 4.6 v8, 4x4 (manual transfer case) with no bells and whistles (just the way I like it. Less to break). Plugs have already been changed.

The Dealer im looking at has it priced at 16900. Im feeling its priced a bit high but not unreasonable.

Before I make any decisions I figured I would ask the experts. What do you think?

Thanks for the replys

Just go to the nada used car site, put in the info for the truck, and it'll give a pretty accurate price. I just got an 05 with 107k miles on it(high miles. I know) and paid 16,400 for it. But its a loaded crew cab lariat 4x4. Sadly though it has the 5.4 that NOW I know everyone says to stay away from.......

good luck!

I got the same exact truck with 52k for $13,995 in February 2010.

Way too high.

I bought my fairly loaded '06 XLT supercab with 48k in 2/09 for $14,700 and its got alot of power stuff and a 5.4. I bought it from a used car dealer.

The truck youre looking at should be closer to $11k.

I like to take a look at ebay,Kelly Blue Book and the AutoTrader sites to get some ideas plus you get to see lots of different F150s with
different options and prices.

Just a little high. But if you are happy......Is that at a used car lot or a dealer?
Check www.kbb.com to get a ballpark price.
I am happy with my stx for the most part. Just wish it had more torque. Definitely happy to have it.

Just to let you know the 5.4 isn't that bad. Yes it does have a design flaw but what engine doesn't? I love my 5.4 and it has been nothing but great to me and scariest thing is its the most problematic year... yes it's a 2004 but at the end of the day wouldn't trade my truck for anything in the world.

I just bought the same truck! I love it! I ended up paying 15k for it with 46k miles.
Only thing i would recommend is making sure the coils are all good.
