Default Looking a 2004 stx.

Looking at a STX to buy. Sorry messed up the title.So anything to be on the look out for? What advice would you have? Its gonna be at a dealer here in town. Just dont know a whole lot about this gen and the motor and such.

Seems like a lot of miles for the price. The 4.6L hasn't change too much since 2002, solid motor. I would begin to question that transmission at the mileage since it was replaced once already.

Yea miles was what turning me away from it also. Where did you see it being replaced?

If its been replaced what's the worry. It's had 130k+ miles put in it since. I think the new tranny is fine. And it could have been a ton of things from a recall to a blown seal causing it to burn up

I wouldn't buy it. Keep searching you can/will find a way better deal. I purchased my 04 4X4 XLT crewcab with 148k for $8000. The truck is solid. Remember the styles... I'll list them from top to bottom.
