Your talking about going from a POS Tundra to an Awesome F-150 of course its an Up-Grade....

Just go american. They are made to tow heavy items. Over seas even their diesel small trucks have a very low tow rating. They just dont tow as much nor are they designed to tow that much.

American trucks are always made for work and to be a work/DD. It has been that way for the last 60+ years.

I wouldn't suggest posting such a question on a Ford forum. Most people are biased to their Ford's (I am not saying this is a bad thing).

I went ahead and passed on the truck. Doesn't make sense to go to a vehicle with 22k more miles. It would take a long time to see roi with towing and mpg if I ever made up for it. A buddy of mine is diehard Ford and I saw him at work last light. His exact words were "I would love to see you in a Ford, but don't do it with the 5.4". He blew 2 plugs out of the block on his 5.4. All the guys at work say I should be looking for a 5.0

I am going to keep looking. Its between Ford, Nissan, and Toyota. Never owned a Ford but have driven quite a few in my last job. Have owned Nissan, and Toyota and found them to be quality vehicles. Heck my Tundra was built in the USA, while my "American" Silverado was not. Thanks for the help guys.

Of course we are biased... this isn't Tundra****tytruckforum.com... F150s are the TOP selling vehicle in America... millions can't be wrong. Now back to this thread subject. gas mileage shouldn't be the main part of getting this truck. If you don't like how the TUNDRA pulls your boat then you'll love how the F150 does...
