good day all, I have a 2004 f250 with 5.4 when it has been sitting over night or even for a half hour or more it cranks but does not want to catch. I recently changed the gas filter and thought it would change but nope! BUT if I have been driving the truck and stop turn it off, and then start, it starts fine and right away.

Also, check your fpdm under the spare tire and see if it is corroded..

an oil change was done, only diff is a fram filter was used.
she also like to give a couple of slight backfires when I want to start it up on a cold morning.

there is also at times a very loud hum coming from the air breather, I have tried cleaning the MAS and also a spare one.
and have tried both, but the very loud hum continues to be there.
was wondering if it had anything to do with a filter looking thing that is in behind the throttle body, could it be plugged and starving to breath.
again feeling stumped.

Well those will definitely help if you can get them.
