Default a little confused

I decided to check the alignment on my projectors over the weekend. I feel like I'm blasting the cars I'm behind, not so much on coming traffic. I have only been flashed a couple of times it's normally a smaller vehicle. So I went to the school down the street the most level place I can find, parked the truck 25ft back off a wall took a measurement from the ground to the measuring dot on the hd it measured 42 inches went to the wall and measured were the top of light was hitting the wall it measured 36 1/2 inches. From what I've read on this forum and have been told they should hit level minus 2",now if this true I'm about 4" low I feel if I go up that 4" I'm really going to be blasting people. So I guess my question is am I doing this right and if I am should I raise them?

....ive messed with my projectors...like 15 times... and the best way i can see with them without blinding other people ...(never measure anything)... but i got them set up were i can see good... and no one flashes me... but when its foggy out and you can see the full beam... my truck looks all crosseyed and shineing into the trees and what not.. i dont even think about it anymore im tired of messing with them ... haha if they didnt look so cool i would prolly take them about and burn them... i will watch and see what you find

if you can see ok with the lights the way they are I would not touch them, as long as you can see far enough down the road, and you are not running everyone off the road with your lights I wouldn't worry about it.

Hi,

The Hanes repair book basicly says to nose the truck up to a wall (on a level surface) and mark the center of the high intensity beam on the wall. then back off 25ft. and aim the headlights so the center of the high intensity beam is 2in. down and 2in. to the right of the mark.

Good plan. I'd be ok with an occasional flasher anyways
