Default Fog Light Help?

I have a blub that has broken inside the fog light housing and i don't want to replace with a new one, just in case the pieces of the old bulb hit the new one and bust that one. is there any way of getting the old pieces of the bulb out with out taking the whole fog light out? thanks for the help

Air compressor and shop vac? You'll probably have to take the fog light out, though. Very easy to do w/ the round lights (if you have an 06-08)

I've dealt with this....you'll need to remove the light assembly. On my 05 there's three screws that secure it to the bumper. Once it's off, if you are lucky, you can shake the bulb pieces out.

I wasn't so lucky. I had shards of broken glass that had wedged themselves between the lens and the light housing edge. The lens does not separate from the housing.

I ended up using a hole saw to section out a piece on the top side of the light housing. Through that hole I was able to fit vacuum nozzles, compressed air, sharp instruments.....whatever I could use to loosen and fish out those pieces.

After I was done, I glued the piece I had cut out back in and sealed it over.

This was the best I could come up with.....and it worked. Another option is to order a new housing off ebay for $33.00.
