Default Lights in a Lariat Grill

So I'm thinking about putting kc daylighter spot lights behind my lariat grill on my 08. I like the grill on it and don't want to mount up a light bar. How so yall think it would look/perform? It's a honeycomb grill obviously and I'm worried about the beam coming out being distorted. Anyone have a picture of lights behind a lariat grill? I can't find any...

There have been conversations here about lights behind the grill. As I recall they were favorable

Thanks man. Anyone know if there is a part that can be bought instead of having to work metal?

Not exactly what you may have planned but here's video of a guy who put led strobes behind his honeycomb grill - darn cool if you ask me!

I run a LED strip behind my Lariats grill.I have it mounted to the top of the cooler and it gives a nice bluish glow to go alone with my H.I.D.s.And since its not direct lighting the cops haven't bothered with the blue color like they did when I had blue washer nozzles and running lights on my last ruck.

I mounted two PIAA driving lights behind my honeycomb Lariat Grill by buying 1/4 inch angle iron two inches wide and took the lights off and mounted it using the bumper bolts on each end and cutting a small slice through the soft shroud material up front and ran the lights wiring through the passenger side and mounted the wireless box right by the hood latch adjustments and then programmed my home-link to on and off positions of the lights so no running wires into the cab. If you need some pix, I can try to take some better ones in the next couple of days.

By the way they look and work great...especially around the hill country on country roads. May need to re-inforce mine a bit though as the beams bounces a bit on rough terrain.

Feste...love the lights how you did them (looked in your album). Have any pictures of the mounting system you worked out?
