Default Lights behind grille

I'm thinking about mounting off road lights behind my grille, and i was wanting to know how hard it was, and also if people could post pictures of their lights with the hood open. I greatly appreciate it.

I could get better pictures for you on tuesday if I remember. I found lights I liked and then used a piece of angle iron to secure them to, I mounted the angle iron to the bottom bolt on each side of the headlights. Unless you pop the hood the lights look like they are just floating there. I get compliments on them all the time and the whole set up cost me less than $120. Try buying a set of hellas for that.........

what year is that?
mine has a piece of plastic behind the grille that goes all the way across that I think I'll mount mine to. do i need to drill the plastic before putting the screws into it?

Mine is a 06. Are you talking about the piece of plastic above the radiator or is it down lower? You will probably be best off by drilling the plastic and using bolts/nuts/washers. If you could find a sheet metal screw large enough for the hole in the light bracket you wouldn't need to drill, but I don't think I'd trust sheet metal screws going down the highway anyway...

the lights i bought came with 2 screws for each light and each light has its own bracket. the plastic I'm talking about is the piece right behind the grille and about 1/3rd of the way up
