Here in Missouri F150's go fast if they are in good condition and low mileage. I have owned three F250's and I just purchased my first F150 about 2 months ago. I paid $18500 for a 2007 with 48K miles. It is an xlt in near perfect condition. I might have overpaid for it but there were two other people lined up to buy if I didn't so I had to make a decision right away. In any event I love the truck! It does not have a lift so I have already bought my tires and wheels for $2K and am now deciding what lift I want to put on it. That will run me another $2K. I'd say that truck is a screaming deal if you are looking for a lifted truck. Enjoy!

It was already said, however.. Ask about the plugs. See if they've been changed.

Ill ask about the plugs. Pretty sure they have not been replaced though. The seller wrote the following to me in one of our messages when I asked if he has ever had any problems:

"New rotors and brake pads were put on the front so it stops just fine. Mechanically I can't make any guarantees but in my opinion its perfect. The truck has never been in the shop for anything but oil changes."

At that mileage I doubt the plugs have been touched. That would be my very first task if I purchased the truck.

To me that's a steal and well worth it. Even though those mods don't add value if you were planning to do them anyway, look at all the money you're saving.

I have heard that the plugs can be an issue. Were the plugs that for used just crappy, and simply replacing them with new ones solves the problems? How much can I expect a shop to charge me to change the plugs?

Plugs can run from $300 (some guys have reported this price, had good luck with no broken plugs) others have reached $1000.
There are TONS of threads here about the plugs, best way to change, walk-through and all that.

Sure looks nice, and those low miles are a plus. I wouldn't worry about the plugs, they should be fine. My '04 only has 60K on it (vacation vehicle) and it is and has been perfect.

Before you plunk down the cash, take it for a long drive...like a half hour. Get that engine hot, get it on the highway, stop and go on neighborhood streets, pop it into 4X and 4L...just make sure it doesn't grind or screech or miss or stumble.

Bring an old blanket with you so you can lay underneath it, check for rocks and mud and tree branches all stuck up in there...if you see any of that stuff, check the rotors for deep groves (check the rotors anyway, really). Things like that can add up, so you may want to offer less than the 18...

If it's all clean and makes no funny noises, then the 18 you may end up shelling out is a good deal, not a great one. Great would be 16. It would cost ya a buttload of cash to do a stock one up like that, though.

Hope it works out for ya...Just be careful, if you have to have it, and it's making some strange noise in 4X or something like that, knock 3 grand off the price, period. He'll take it, as it seems he really wants to sell and be done with it.

Funny thing about used...I'm so skeptical but I would sell my truck to my best friend right now because it's absolutely flawless. Really good ones are out there, I own one. But there's also plenty of turds in disguise...like I said, be careful and good luck.
