Default lift or no lift??

What's up everyone! Hey, I have a 2006 F-150XL 5.6L V8 4x4. I'm debating about having to put a lift kit on my truck. I found the tires and rims I want...35" Toyo MT's and XD black rims. My question is, will I be able to fit 35's on my truck with ONLY a leveling kit or will I need to do a full on lift?? Anybody have advice or recommendations I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

My suggestions is get a lift kit. Not to big is needed. I have 33" Toyo A/T with 18"rims. with a 2.5" leveling kit and it rubs when they are turned all the way. So i suggest a 4" lift kit.

You will no have a problem since you are upgrading your rims. I have 35x12.50 under mine. rubbed a little on the wheel well liner. Put a clip to hold it back no more rub.

the 35's will fit just fine if you keep your stock wheels.... otherwise, you generally have to stay with a 33 on aftermarket wheels.... until you lift.

Thx! Yeah, I'm thinking of the 35" with 18" rims. So I guess I'll have to be thinking about a lift kit??

get a lift!
i went with a rough country, many guys despise them but thats because they are a cheaper kit which use spacers and what not. i paid 1350 for a 6" kit for 04-08. got it installed paid a good friend 300$ i just have to align it today,
with any lift the ride will suffer but in my opinion its totally worth the 3 months of saving, i upgraded my brakes also. i went with rough country because i rarely ever take my truck off road and i strayed for the whole install and it seems very sturdy. everyone with a rough country product speaks highly of them. their a private company that design and make everything in house, you dont pay for the name either. comes with 2 nitro shocks in the back, raises the back 5in and front 6 in created a little bit of a rake but i plan on gettin a set of bilstein 5100s to level it out perfect.
good luck bro the lift is the ultimate mod in my eyes. i dont regret a thing!

I have been messing with my truck for a month now. I have the ride at where I want it Almost.
I wanted the rear level with the frt after the 6" lift
Playing with strut adjustments
Adding A leaf spring in the rear
Balancing frt drv shaft and replacing the rear Drv shaft main section (too short)
I have ordered a rear sway bar for next weeks change. That should do it for the suspension.

From the first day I drove my 6" lift to now - the handling has improved big time!!!

Also I have got the engine running much stronger with the Exhaust, SCT tuner, K&N CAI

then I added the bull bar and KC lites (KC because of Price 165.00 for the kit)

I am thinking about doing a spray liner for the rear inside wheel wells and also for just the tail gate on the inside. I will do that myself - may cost around 20.00
