Default Lift Kit

My buddy wants to lift his truck at least 6". Can everything needed to do this other than alignment be bought in one kit? If so what kits are others using/recommend. I searched the topic but I only got info on leveling kits. Thanks for any help.

wow, you must not have searched very long... there are tons of threads on this.

long answer short, yes a full kit will have everything needed. it really comes down to how much you want to spend. i have RCD but i think i would go with fabtech if i did it all over. you really need to do some searching, and use other sites as well. you will find pics and tons of info with help. but really dedicate some time before you buy. you dont want to be spending more time and money down the road changing things, or going bigger.... i wouldnt bother with a 4" kit, just get a 6" and some 35's and you will love it!

Thanks, yeah I should have searched more. Between leveling kits and threads over a year old I took the easy way out... Thanks a lot though.

Alot of the kits seem to be good. Alot of guys running Fabtech or Rough Country. The kits should come with everything you need.

No need for this. You could link him to a few threads involving lift kits, answer him or don't answer him.

^^^ I agree, dont make a comment like that. This forum is for help, not bashing. Alot of people don't always know how to search, or may not find exactly what they are looking for. Nobody grabbed your finger, made you click on the thread, and made you post.

I have a question about a 2008 F150 XLT 2wd. Is it retareded to lift a 2wd truck? I really have no use for doing this but for looks. I love a raised up truck. Only looking in to lifting a few inches, maybe around 3.

Level it out. I personally don't like lifted 2wd trucks because they never get used.. but if you want it lifted, it's your truck.

all i did was made a simple statement, to which the OP even admited afterwards that he was taking "easy street". lifting a truck is not something that can be done without your own research, based totally on other peoples opinions. and just so YOU know, i did answer him with a basic answer, but there is no way to give someone all the answers on such a subject.
