Default Brake and abs light

I have recently purchased a 2005 Ford F150 FX4. I drove the truck approximately 60 miles and then parked it in the garage for the night. The following morning I started the truck and the Brake and ABS lights were illuminated. I'm not sure what he problem is as the brake fluid is level and the brakes are functioning. ABS SENSOR?

Thanks for you replys!

Kenny

make sure your e or parking brake is off. there are 3 sensors, 1 each on front and 1 on top of the rear diff. maybe easyest to check is the appropriate fuse. good luck

I had a buddy that works for Ford run a diagnostic check on the truck; however there was no reading reference to the lights. Sorry about the confusion, after further evaluation the cruise control and back up lights are not working either. Obviously you have had this problem or know of this problem so please fill me in on the solution when you get the opportunity. Thanks again for your assistance!

Problems:
ABS Light is illuminated
Brake Light is illuminated
Cruise control inoperable
Back up lights not working

Sounds like ABS sensor or related equipment. check the wiring to your sensors, may of taking a rock hit or road hazard. check codes ...

Thanks to Ford 123 the problem with the ABS/Brake light, cruise controls, and back up lights were due to fuse #14 (10A). After replacing this fuse the lights went out and the cruise and back up lights are working again. Has anybody else had a re-occurring issue with this? Diagnosis?

I have a thread on this issue with my 2005. My fuse popped a few days after replacement and i don't know what is causing it. I have unplugged the Pcv to troubleshoot the PCv heater it has only been a couple of days though

Hey guys I'm new to the Ford world and bought a 08 f150 about 6 months ago...I drive a f250 for work and it never treated me bad so i decided to give ford a try and so far no complaints....

As stated above the exact same thing is happening to me....

Out of the blue for no reason in particular my abs/e-break light randomly came on one night and while backing into my drive way i noticed i couldn't see **** because my reverse lights weren't working either? Now i read the thread above and sure enough fuse # 10 in slot 14 was Popped....So i changed it figuring issue resolved because the e-break light and abs light on the dash went out.... but the second i put the truck in reverse....the break lights came back on and the fuse Blew again.....

Has anyone came across as to what the issue maybe by any chance? This thing is driving me crazy ..... ohh and to top it all off....My Hood latch under the dash Snapped on me lol.....i cant say i hate the truck as these things seem really minor.....it could be worse i guess.....

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated....

Thanks in advance
