I am thinking about adding a 2.5" leveling kit on my 08 super crew (6.5' bed) and I have a few questions.

Is their any issues with doing this while under factory and extended warranty?

Can the kid do any damage to the truck or cause parts to ware out quicker?

I know I will have to get the front end realigned but anything else I would have to do?

How much should a kit cost me to have installed?

I am not plaining putting on bigger tires / rims (yet) will mu MPG decrease any from just the kit being installed?

who makes the best kit?

As far as I know this does not void the warranty. I could be wrong though as mine has expired

A leveling kit as with any lift has the potential to cause parts to wear out quicker but its very minimal if it occurs

Other than a new allignment there is nothing else you will need to do

Including the allignement I payed roughly 150-200 for installation (been a while)

Even with adding larger tires I noticed no change in gas mileage.

I have a 2.5" autosprings i will be putting on friday. Pics should be up saturday sometime.

You will want a larger tire when you are all done, I have a 33" tire on my fx4 screw and it looked fine, Then came the level kit and now it just seems like there is a bit too much space between the tire and truck both front and back..

You will be very happy with the results of the 2.5 kit, best mod for the dollar in my opinion, it does alot for these trucks. As far as wear it is debatable, you have some change in angles with the upper control arms but it's within the normal range of travel of the suspension. Worse case scenario would be the ball joints on the control arms wear a little faster, fortunately you can buy the whole control arm for 80 bucks or so with the ball joint on it and its an easy swap. I actually installed new control arms when I installed my 2.5 kit, did it all in about 3 hours in the driveway here, its not major surgery.

I just did mine and couldnt be happier, I cant wait to put bigger tires on. I went with the Hell Bent Steel 2.5in Kit. Heres a before and after.

2.5" autosprings kit, did the install myself, very easy to do. payed 40 bucks for an alignment. these things do wonders for the truck. I am running 325/60/18.

I just received my AutoSpring 2.5" kit in the mail today. I've still got to find a place to have it installed. Does anyone know a good shop in the Seattle area? The install quote I got at one place was about $280, which seems kinda high to me.

I have very very little mechanical knowledge and i had it installed in under an hour by myself...If you dont have the tools I understand not doing it yourself, but save your money if you do and do it yourself..
