I wouldn't personally go any taller than 2" in the front though. 2.5" is pushing it and anything above that will give you problems.
Okay thanks so 2in leveling kit and a 2in block? Is there a particular brand you recommend? Will I encounter any problems post installation?

You should be fine with 2". Go 1.5" if you want to play it safe. You'll need an alignment after installation. If all your front end parts are in good working order, you shouldn't have any issues.

Both are easy to instal and can be done in your driveway with the right tools.

Readylift seems to be a popular brand, but they seem extremely over priced especially since the front is nothing more than a metal puck.

To give you an idea, my truck is also 2wd. I have a factory 2" block in the rear (came from an 05) and I have Monroe quickstuts up front with a small 1/2" spacer which is made out of aluminum and its by Summit Racing from eBay. Cost $25 and I've had no issues. I did coat with por 15 before installing.

I'm 22.5" in the front and 25" in the rear. Pretty close, if not an exact stock 4x4 stance.

thanks, im having troubling find a 2in rear block for a 4x2 f150. I think my parts are good, my truck right now has 43,000 miles on it. I bought it at 21,000 from a Ford dealer this past year. Can you recommend a place to buy the rear block?

There are lots on eBay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/131754520123

It doesn't matter if it says 09+. Blocks fit the same for 04-16.

I currently have oem blocks. I've run 2.5" aluminum aftermarket and also 3" hollow steal aftermarket. I had no issues with either. I went back to 2" cause my truck was getting taller than I wanted.

If you just simply want to raise the rear end for looks, I personally wouldn't waste the money on that kit.

When adding a block in the rear, you should get 4x4 length shocks. I finally did a couple years back, but I ran the oem 2wd length shocks for 5+ years with the block and no issues.

In my opinion, if it were my truck, id do 1.5" up front and 2" in the back or 2" up front and 2.5" in the back.

How much rake do you want to have? I.E. How much higher to do want the rear to be than the front?

2"-3" higher in the rear is the factory stance. Closer to 3" being the norm for 04-05 trucks and 2" for 06-08 trucks.

i dont want the rear to be dragging when i am hauling. i defiantly do not want teh Carolina squat. I want to level my truck without replacing the control arms and ball joints, thats what i want. but then again my truck is at 43,000 miles if that has anything to do with it.

I'm confused. Do you want it level or do you want it to have a factory rake? If you want it level, put a 1.5" or 2" spacer in the front and do nothing with the rear.

If you want it to have a factory 4x4 stance, put a spacer in the front and a block in the rear. If you do this, your rear will be higher than the front, as it currently is.
