Default Leveling Kit Questions.4x2.

Hey guys,

I want to pull the trigger and level my 4x2 '06 F-150 and I'm wanting to know what brand is absolute best and what the pro/cons are of leveling it. Also i would like to know how much a shop may charge for this installation. Also what is the difference between a leaf and leveling block kit? I want to bring the front end up with the rear. I want to have the ride height of a 4x4 leveled but without a lift kit. I plan on using the same factory tires for now then later on i will buy new wheels and tires. Also is there anything that may happen after the installation? Thanks for the help!

You can easily get the ride hight of a stock
4x4, but trying to go the height of a leveled 4x4 isn't going to be good for your front end without a lift.

A leveled 4x4 is going to be 3+ inches taller in the front than your truck currently is and you'd destroy the front suspension.

Either level your truck as is, go with a stock 4x4 stance, or get a true lift.

thanks, when you mean level as is you mean just add a 2.5 leveling kit and not leaf or blocks to the rear?

Do you want to level your truck as a 2wd or have it look like a leveled 4x4? Or look like a stock 4x4?

If you just want to level it, a 1.5" to 2" spacer in the front is all you need for your 06.

If you want to bring the rear up as well, you can add a block. They are much easier than the AAL and don't change the factory ride.

Are you wanting to add a block and level it to the high of the rear after the block is installed? Then yes. That's too much hight for the front.

If you want to add a block in the rear and a spacer in the front for a stock 4x4 stance, that'll work.

Yep. Have you mesured the front and back to see how much higher you are? Measure from the center of the wheel to the fender arch.

I just that. The front is 20in and the rear is about 21-22in.

To make it easy, I'd get a 1.5" spacer in the front and a 1.5" block in the rear. Or you could do a 2" spacer and a 2" block.

I wouldn't personally go any taller than 2" in the front though. 2.5" is pushing it and anything above that will give you problems.
