Seriously. Your front end HAS to be on the brink of falling apart.

Looks good. ^^^^^I'm getting the 2" auto spring leveling kit in mail and plan on getting 285 75r18's. (34.84x11.26). Can't decide between toyo at2's or terra grappler g2. Tallest tire I can find that's still recommended for a 7.5x18" rim. Definitely don't want to go with 12.5 wide tires on a 7.5" rim which I see a lot of people doing. I just hope the 2" level clears them 35's! Any have any input?

I put the terra grappler g2 on my truck a couple months ago and love them. Great ride, look good and quiet.

Have you had a chance to drive them in the snow? I want the best snow tires I can get without being a winter tire. I do lots of ice fishing and have a 1/4 mile uphill driveway, definitely need some good tires!

I have the original terra grapplers, and I am very happy with them in the snow. Mine are around 12.5 wide, and they still do great in the white stuff. I'm going to have to make up my mind in spring, on if I want the same tires, or go with the g2s.

Haven't driven them in snow yet, doesn't really snow here where I am in Georgia.

Thank you! And I ran 32.65 on stock with no level and now I have so much room to stick a tire in there I'm pretty sure even though I have a 1/2 inch on your level that you will be able to run 35's no problem!

Since I had gone that far, I decided I wouldn't want to replace rear shocks and leave the stock struts in the front so I ordered rancho super lift coil over struts that added 2.5" to the front. Original tires on the truck are 255/70/r17 and I am currently having 285/70r17's mounted on stock rims (17x7.5 wide). The strut spacers combined with the rancho super lift struts have pushed the front CV shaft to a very disturbing angle and the strut coil spring has been pushed out into contacting the upper control arm. Needless to say, I'm having the strut spacers removed. I also installed 1.5" wheel spacers to eliminate any chance of the tires rubbing the control arms.
You are misunderstanding what has happened to your suspension. New shocks on the rear cannot add lift. Shocks only control the movement of the springs and do not actually lift or lower the truck.

What happened is you added a leaf in the rear. Between the thickness of the added leaf and some extra curve in the springs, that is what gave you the lift in the rear, not the shocks.

The other consequence of adding leafs is a stiffer ride in the rear, this is unavoidable when you add more leafs.

I only note all this because, as you noted, the spacers really need to come out in the front. When this happens you will notice your truck still has a rack and removing the rear shocks will not fix this, only taking out the new add a leaf will.

So my stock f150 has 4"'s of rake (seems a little steep)...I want to level it and put 35's on so I bought a 2" leveling kit. Went to install it today and when I took off the front tires, I found 2 broken coils lol. No wonder my front end was saggin so damn much. Now I have to get a new strut assembly, whoooo hoooo! Anyone have complaints about the Monroe quick-struts? Seem descent and all my local auto store has in stock, I don't want to wait for shipping, need to get done tomorrow!
