Default Which leveling kit?

Thinking of putting a leveling kit on the front of my 05 4x4 XLT. How much lift though? Basically I just want to bring the front up to match the back. Not looking to get new tires at this time, but maybe in the future. So 2, 2.5, or 3 inches?

Since your truck is an 05 the 2.5 inch kit should get you level. Ford changed the rear leaf packs in 06, so the 06 and up require less of a level.

Guess I should have thrown in the word generally in my previous post. Also you can measure the difference as each truck can vary slightly. Measure from top of tire to wheelwell.

Yea, measure the distance in the wheel wells front and back to determine what u need. I would recommend goin with a auto spring leveling kit, I got one and really like it.

Well that is why your level with a 2 inch spacer. A 2 inch spacer nets more than 2 inch lift. It changes the angles and geometry so it's not a one to one lift. Two inch spacer doesn't equal two inch lift. The 2 inch kit is like a 1 5/8 spacer. The 2.5 is around 2 inches. There will be posts on here of people worried they got the wrong kit, because the spacer is smaller than the lift they ordered.
