What would be the purpose of changing the rear blocks to 3" with a 2.5" front leveling kit? I've just seen a few guys on here that have done it. Does it serve a purpose?

It is to keep the truck with a bit of a rake and some have actually had the leveling kit raise their truck above the rear end. That is the purpose of the rear block, + 1 inch.

Not sure if mine has a small lift or just the leveling kit. I do have 2" blocks between the rear springs and the axle. Does it come like this from the factory or did the PO or dealer install them? I have 275/60's (33's) on 20 inch wheels. Here's a pic...

instructions for HBS 2.5" don't mention any coil\spring compression tool needed. Is this correct?

HBS kit doesn't require a spring compression tool. It bolts on top for your strut with no strut disassembly.

would a 2.5" leveling strut be better than a block leveling kit? I found a pro comp prerunner front strut level kit with rear shocks for around $360. IK its not like fox,icon,king,etc... but its still a good name company.
