Left signal light flashing very fast....why?
Hi everyone. The other day I went to turn on my left turn signal light on the '08 F150 and it clicked/flashed really fast, like double the normal speed, and continues to do so. The right signal light flashes at normal speed. Is my flasher gone? Shorting? Why would the left click so fast but the right clicks normal? Are there two different flashers, one for left the other for right? I've always known for the signals to have only one flasher. Also, if it comes to replacing the flasher, where is it located under the dash? Thanks.

I know this might be a stupid reply, but did you check to see if you have a bulb out? Anytime I had fast flashes in the dash it was because a bulb was out.

yup, usually the side that is blinking fast is the side that has a light out or a light that is going out. You have 1x flasher relay located under the drivers side basically under the steering wheel. It has a blue casing around it as stated by a few others in this forum

Ok so the bulb is not the problem. I've got power to the running light wire, but not to the signal light one. The bulb is fine. What else could be causing this fast clicking? The fuse should be ok because the front signal light still works, except the flashing is really fast.

If you didn't, for grins, just try a new bulb in there. I don't know if you just looked at the bulb and determined it was okay or not, but I've had screwy bulbs that look fine, but when I put in a new one, everything is fine.
