Do not use resistors. Use a EP27 electronic flasher. It simply replaces your regular ole flasher. No wire splices, no worry about mounting a resistor to a metal location. Simple and cheap.

So you are saying just plug this into the old location of the oem and I could use LEDs with no problems?? I heard people saying something will cause the cruise control to go out of wack will this not happen since I'm not messing with anything and just replacing the flasher contro???

You are going to need resistors as well. I did the flasher and it only sovled the hyperflash.

Why do I need another resistor? Is it because of the cruise control ?

The point of the EP27 is to solve hyperflash. KCCOFox, what other problem existed after you installed the EP27??

When I put the LEDs in my tail lights every time I pushed the brake pedal it would turn on my parking lights and if I had my headlight switch turned to auto it would turn my fog lights on to.....

I had the same issue as littlejohn. If I don't have ttheparking lights or headlights on, pressing the brake pedal causes the parking lights, mirror turn indactors, and instrument lights all illuminate. Also if the parking or headlights aren't on, all four corners flash when I use the turn indicator.

Not trying to derail the thread but I just Installed a set of hids from ddmtunning and had the same issue last night. The driver side mirror indicator and both turn signal arrows would light up solid. Never seen this before with hids.

Oh so how do I go about putting LEDs as my turn/ brake lights?? And also if I put a led back up bulb would that effect anything? Now one thing is I have a backup camera liked to my reverse lighs to wire so every time I put the truck in reverse it powers the camera also will the swap of a led buck up bulb effect that??
